STATION - Hussina Raja
Station is an interactive live-performance installation set in a traditional South-Asian living room.
Artist Hussina Raja shares a body of work focusing on migration and belonging, told through aural testimonies and a visual archive offering a retrospective on migrant experiences since the early 1940s to date. Station includes works by poet/writer Zia Ahmed and a soundscape by musician Sarathy Korwar.
Full English was invited to be exhibited and installed as part of the living room set up.

Phakama 25 years

Pie Factory
The full English was quickly invited to various locations , Pie Factory a local restaurant and one of the very few pie and mash shops remaining in the east end with traditional steak and kidney and also fusion pies such as chicken tikka. The space is always bustling with locals and was a great space to exhibit the portraits. The collection is to create opportunities for those who do not normally visit galleries to enjoy art in spaces they normally frequent. Sadly Covid 19 hit just before the launch not allowing the exhibition. We hope to re- exhibit here again. Keep an eye out for dates in the future.
Launch Day
Full English was launched with a one day exhibition with the stunning portraits.
The exhibition itself was fantastic as was the venue the senior common room, for most visitors it was their first visit to the Queen Mary University of London. The room was bustling with an array of excited guests all clambering to get up close and personal to view the photos displayed on easels. It was a good opportunity to network and an overall enjoyable and engaging event.
